US Figure Skating

Nancy Pochis Bank Art Studio was hired by US Figure Skating to design and execute three chalkboard murals for their 2014 Skate America event at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates. The murals were located in the “Friends of Figure Skating” Lounge and featured the 2014 bronze medalist US Olympic Team, ice dance champions Meryl Davis and Charlie White, quotes from “Friends of Figure Skaters”, and an interactive chalkboard where guests could leave messages to the skaters.

Chicago Public Artwork Goes International

In the summer of 2007, “Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet” was launched in Chicago. Nancy Pochis Bank was among an international group of artists selected by the jury to design and create a globe to be displayed in the lakefront exhibit.

Since the start of the "Cool Globes" project, Nancy has created four 5’ globes that have been exhibited across the United States and internationally.

“Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet” is a non-profit organization established to raise awareness of climate change and inspire individuals and community leaders to embrace solutions. The public art exhibit features larger-than-life globes, each designed to depict a solution to global warming.
