Oak Street Business Council

The Oak Street Business Council hired Nancy Pochis Bank Art Studio to create a giant sidewalk chalk mural for their first annual Summer Block Party. Studio Artists drew inspiration from Roy Lichtenstein’s Ben-Day dots and vibrant colors to create a compelling Chicago skyline on the pavement in front of Barney’s New York, at the corner of Oak and Rush.

Chicago Public Artwork Goes International

In the summer of 2007, “Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet” was launched in Chicago. Nancy Pochis Bank was among an international group of artists selected by the jury to design and create a globe to be displayed in the lakefront exhibit.

Since the start of the "Cool Globes" project, Nancy has created four 5’ globes that have been exhibited across the United States and internationally.

“Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet” is a non-profit organization established to raise awareness of climate change and inspire individuals and community leaders to embrace solutions. The public art exhibit features larger-than-life globes, each designed to depict a solution to global warming.
