The Illinois Landscape Contractors Association (ILCA) approached Pochis Bank Art Studio to participate in their 4th annual trade show, iLandscape. This year iLandscape hosted a wide variety of entertainment features, everything from statue stilt walkers to a dueling piano performance and the painting of a LIVE mural completed by NPB Art Studio.
Nancy along with Studio Artist Brandin Hurley started this 6 ft x 8 ft mural in the studio. They laid out the first layers of the painting by blending yellow, green, turquoise and red. This layer would later become the vibrant flowers. After the first layers were dried completely the two sketched out the floral pattern.
The remainder of the mural was completed LIVE on stage at the trade show. iLandscape had arranged for NPB Art Studio to take the stage for only 4 hours! Nancy and Brandin painted the mural flat on stage. They worked quickly layering dark blues and purples giving definition and dimensionality to the floral pattern. The audience was able to have a clear view by a camera that was set up projecting all the action.
