Facebook Communities Summit

Facebook hired us for their 2017 Communities Summit to create two live murals on-location at Revel Space in the West Loop. The Summit welcomed members of Facebook’s most active “communities” and Mark Zuckerberg even stopped by. One of our murals featured a map of the U.S. that highlighted where participants live. In the other mural, we designed logos that represented each of the communities highlighted at the Summit.

Chicago Public Artwork Goes International

In the summer of 2007, “Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet” was launched in Chicago. Nancy Pochis Bank was among an international group of artists selected by the jury to design and create a globe to be displayed in the lakefront exhibit.

Since the start of the "Cool Globes" project, Nancy has created four 5’ globes that have been exhibited across the United States and internationally.

“Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet” is a non-profit organization established to raise awareness of climate change and inspire individuals and community leaders to embrace solutions. The public art exhibit features larger-than-life globes, each designed to depict a solution to global warming.
