Bartoli’s Pizzeria, located in Roscoe Village, contacted Pochis Bank Art Studio about creating a one-of-a-kind sandwich board to show what they are all about. The studio communicated with the client on sketches to determine their ideal layout and studio artist Emma Moss executed a beautifully illustrated, Chicago-themed board using chalk markers.
One side of the board is decorated with Bartoli’s logo and the Chicago skyline. It includes their catchphrase, “My kind of town. Your kind of pizza” with a description of what this pizzeria is best known for: their famous deep dish and their equally beloved Chicago-style thin crust. The other side of this A-frame boasts their recent claim to fame; Bartoli’s Chicago Classic Pizza (Italian sausage, mushroom, onion, & green pepper) was named “Best Pie in Chi” at the first annual Chicago Pizza Party hosted at the Ravenswood Event Center. This side also included an intricate illustration of the “anatomy of deep dish,” highlighting each layer in Chicago’s specialty.
