NikeTown Community Chalkboard

NPB Art Studio Studio News chalk calendar, chalk store signage, hand lettering, Niketown

Nancy Pochis Bank Art Studio returned once more to Nike, this time heading to their Michigan Avenue flagship store, NikeTown. First, we designed and executed an informative and eye-catching community chalkboard, transitioning the design from functional July to engaging August.

Shortly after, NikeTown rearranged their layout, adding a new digital-chalkboard combination sign prominently displayed on the main floor. For this new feature we designed a crisp and concise calendar with promotional Nike messages below. As always, we loved working with Nike and enjoyed the energetic atmosphere of their downtown location.

Chicago Public Artwork Goes International

In the summer of 2007, “Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet” was launched in Chicago. Nancy Pochis Bank was among an international group of artists selected by the jury to design and create a globe to be displayed in the lakefront exhibit.

Since the start of the "Cool Globes" project, Nancy has created four 5’ globes that have been exhibited across the United States and internationally.

“Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet” is a non-profit organization established to raise awareness of climate change and inspire individuals and community leaders to embrace solutions. The public art exhibit features larger-than-life globes, each designed to depict a solution to global warming.
