About Nancy Pochis Bank
Nancy Pochis Bank is a Chicago based visual artist. Nancy’s specialties include watercolor, oil painting and chalk art murals. A recipient of the multi-year Chicago Neighborhood Arts Program Grant, Nancy provides fine art instruction to seniors and high school students. In addition to her work in arts education, Nancy completes several commissioned portraits and murals each year, and her artwork has been exhibited in numerous venues throughout the United States.
Nancy started her professional career in business, earning a BA from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the University of Chicago. In 2000, after twelve years in management consulting, she turned toward her lifelong passion for painting, enrolled in the Continuing Education Program at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and studied with Chicago artist Ed Hinkley.
Nancy is an active arts advocate: she dedicates her time and art skills to benefit her community and raise awareness for a range of social issues through public artworks such as five “Cool Globes”, two Great Chicago Fire Hydrants, Literary Chicago, and the annual Art Therapy Connection’s Chalk Festival.

People are talking…
“Working with them is always a very pleasant experience. Nancy and the team do actually listen to, and work with us until we see the final results that we envisioned.”
The quality of the artwork is outstanding, I am extremely happy with the end product. Communication with Nancy and her team was very quick and easy. Working collaboratively with Nancy and her team was much more productive than working with one artist, and one of my favorite experiences so far. The Studio is highly professional and I would absolutely work with Pochis Bank Art Studio again!
“Lovely, Friendly Staff. Very Flexible. Showed up on time, did wonderful work, added necessary suggestions and comments about the mural and the best ways to achieve what we wanted. Worked on our very limited timeline and budget and were overall EXTREMELY friendly and would highly recommend for any project or install!”
“Such a beautiful piece, and such fun for our party! Thanks for creating this. We love it and can’t wait to use it in the showroom.”
