I <3 Mayor Daley

Nancy Pochis Bank Art Studio spent all of Sunday creating these “I <3 Mayor Daley” chalk badges around the city for Walter E. Smith Furniture. The company wanted wanted to honor Mayor Daley in a unique and artistic way. Ten hours on hands and knees, and 30 badges later, it snowed. Chalk art is ephemeral, though, and it’s all about the experience!

Chicago Public Artwork Goes International

In the summer of 2007, “Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet” was launched in Chicago. Nancy Pochis Bank was among an international group of artists selected by the jury to design and create a globe to be displayed in the lakefront exhibit.

Since the start of the "Cool Globes" project, Nancy has created four 5’ globes that have been exhibited across the United States and internationally.

“Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet” is a non-profit organization established to raise awareness of climate change and inspire individuals and community leaders to embrace solutions. The public art exhibit features larger-than-life globes, each designed to depict a solution to global warming.
