Homewood Art and Garden Fair
Nancy and a team of studio artists traveled to Homewood last Saturday for the city’s 8th annual Art and Garden Fair. The City of Homewood hired Nancy to be the fair’s featured chalk artist and to advise fair attendees and other community artists who are trying out chalk art for the first time. Nancy and her team recreated Georges Seaurat’s famous painting, A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte, which hangs in the Chicago Art Institute. Check out this article on the Chicago Tribune’s website to read more about the event and see a photo of Nancy at work on the mural. Thanks to Studio Artists Brittney Williams, Grace Brandt, and partner artist Tracee Badway for their help on this project.
