Borden Cheese for Zócalo

Nancy Pochis Bank Art Studio was hired by Zócalo Group to design and render a large snack-themed chalk wall mural to welcome their client, Borden Cheese. Studio artists drew the initial illustration on paper and then worked with the software Procreate, refining and editing the design. In the end, we and Zócalo decided on this eye-pleasing layout of hand drawn cheesy treats.

Thanks to studio artist Shayne Taylor for her work on the initial illustration and to Tracee Badway and Natalie Michals for their work with the execution phase.

Chicago Public Artwork Goes International

In the summer of 2007, “Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet” was launched in Chicago. Nancy Pochis Bank was among an international group of artists selected by the jury to design and create a globe to be displayed in the lakefront exhibit.

Since the start of the "Cool Globes" project, Nancy has created four 5’ globes that have been exhibited across the United States and internationally.

“Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet” is a non-profit organization established to raise awareness of climate change and inspire individuals and community leaders to embrace solutions. The public art exhibit features larger-than-life globes, each designed to depict a solution to global warming.
